Joining our Visitor Fundraising team, you will be responsible for delivering the highest standards of customer service by providing a warm welcome to our diverse museum audiences and asking for voluntary donations.

About the role
To boost donations which support our museum, we are looking for part time Visitor Fundraisers to join us at the Science and Industry Museum, in Manchester.

Positions available are:

  • 28 hrs per week – rolling rota including weekdays and weekends (1 weekend in 3), 7 hour shifts
  • 14 hrs per week, every Saturday & Sunday, 7-hour shifts


Working Front of House, you will be one of the first faces our guests see when they enter the museum. You will provide a warm welcome and deliver excellent customer service, whilst actively promoting the museum; encouraging donations, up-selling our commercial offerings, increasing ticket sales and furthering awareness of Gift Aid to help meet our fundraising goals.

About you
You will be a true advocate for the Museum and the Group, with the ability to absorb information and communicate this in a positive and engaging way. Using your excellent communication skills, you can actively approach and encourage donations from our diverse audiences.

Whether you have been a fundraiser in the past, worked sales or retail, or if you this would be a new venture for you – We are keen to hear from you! You will be key to inspiring others in future of the Museum and confidently engaging the public to support us.
