SYSTRA  are looking to expand our Signature Team in the UK, working on high profile infrastructure projects such as TransPennine Route Upgrade and HS2, we are building on our 50 years of success in the UK by growing our team and looking for passionate people to deliver projects across our portfolio.

We are now seeking to strengthen and grow our Environmental and Engineering team in our Birmingham office, initially working as part of our Main Works Civils High Speed 2 project team, by recruiting a Consents Coordinator.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a range of experience within the Civil Engineering/Transportation/Infrastructure sectors.

Main Duties

  • Responsible for securing statutory consents, prepare consent documents, working with Local Authorities, statutory bodies and other transport authorities
  • Developing and maintaining the project consents register and all required consents are applied for in accordance with the project programme.
  • Managing and coordinating the application, negotiation and implementation of all necessary consents 
  • Provide technical guidance to discipline teams 
  • Develop innovative solutions to consent problems
  • Responsible for mentoring and development of staff
  • Responsible for the allocation of work to designers including utilisation 
  • Collaborate with international technical design teams in the delivery of consents.
  • Experience

  • Managing packages related to designing infrastructure securing statutory consents, prepare consent documents, working with Local Authorities, statutory bodies and other transport authorities
  • Experience of obtaining consents required to deliver planning, environmental and highway related consents
