FileNet Software Engineer (CTO – Core Platforms)

Location: London or Edinburgh based with flexibility to work from home 2-3 days per week once we return to a normal working pattern post-COVID.

What is CTO – Core Platforms ?
CTO is the Chief Technology Office. This area is at the front of our most cutting edge of technology in the bank. Working with tech such as Azure, GCP and other innovations and Architectural solutions.

So what would I focus on in this role?
In joining the CTO in LBG’s Group Transformation division! You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with Partners, Business analysts, Development and Administration teams to develop, maintain and update our ECM system (FileNet). You should have a good knowledge and hands on experience with ECM development of FileNet.

As part of our commitment to the digital world and building a digital bank of the future, we use FileNet as our strategic documentation solution to ensure data compliance. You can expect to be part of our cloud migration and work on the strategy around our future use of FileNet, as well as looking at some of our current legacy solutions in place. Part of this role will also involve you working closely with IBM as our FileNet vendor and getting involved in various GDPR & Document Retention projects.

What experience do you need to apply for this role?
We like people who come from a diverse cultural backgrounds, with different ways of thinking who can challenge our current practices. That said, because of the nature of this role it is important to have existing knowledge and experience working with FileNet and ECM Development.

As a minimum to apply you should have:

* Experience of working in the banking sector and be proficient in various versions of FileNet software through to 5.5.8.
* Experience developing with FileNet P8 components such as ICC for file systems and e-mail exchange and SAP, CE/PE, WXPT/ICN, Enterprise Records and BAW/Case Manager.
* Knowledge of the full project life cycle and associated governance as well as building capabilities within a team.
* Experience in a development role working with Java programming
* Some experience working with partner resources and 3rd parties to deliver change. Desirable:

* Change Management Tools such as ServiceNow
* DevOps Tools such as GitHub and JIRA.
* Technologies such as Java, WebSphere, Unix, Linux, Oracle, SQL, DataPower, Message Queue, Message Broker and API’s.
* Awareness of applications such as scanning apps such as Captiva/Kofax, Snowbound, Daeja Viewer and Pega.
* Knowledge regarding Cloud concepts (such as public/private cloud) and cloud deployment. What would you get in return?
