We are recruiting an  IT and Digital Assistant Project Manager. The University has embarked on multiple Programmes of work that will provide the foundation for the future IT landscape. This role will work with the IT & Digital Project Management Office to coordinate the delivery of change initiatives across our Portfolio. To succeed in this role, you would have: 

  • Proven and demonstrable background of delivering projects or sub-projects. Specifically, a strong understanding of the importance Service Introduction plays in the success of a project.
  • Demonstrable experience of leveraging project management techniques to best suit the needs of the initiative, and producing project planning, resource forecasting and risk and issue management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in relation to projects and proactively reaching out to other teams to influence and shape their thinking / actions to enable project delivery. 
  • Able to negotiate to ensure that suppliers and other stakeholders align with the objective and timeframes 
  • Experience of personally managing projects or sub-projects through the full lifecycle from initiation and planning through to operational readiness and handover.

  • Skills that you will need in the role 

  • Project Management Practitioner Qualifications (e.g. MSP, Prince2, PPM, Agile Scrum Master) 
  • Exposure to each stage of the project life cycle, from inception through to implementation and closure 
  • Financial management skills 
  • Experience of matrix management
