Kenwyn Veterinary Centre Ltd is a 1st Opinion practice based in Truro who are looking to support a New Graduate Farm and Equine Animal Vet. They have 5 Vets, a Vet Tech for in house support and organisation, a lay ATT (TB tester) and trained support staff to assist in call management and general assistance.
Practice is open 8.30 to 5.30 for calls. The on call is shared evenly between the Vets on rota and would be a 1 in 4, rising to a 1 in 5 where possible. A half day from 1pm is offered most weeks. There will be a caseload split between 50% Farm 50% Equine.
Kenwyn Veterinary Centre Ltd is a friendly and supportive practice with a wonderful team and great facilities and equipment such as Easiscanners and goggles, mobile x-ray, equine scanner, endoscope, laser surgery, and HDE dental kit. The New Graduate will be supported by being provided close support on visits in the first instance from an experienced Vet and accompanying them until the practice agree they are confident enough to deal with clients on their own. At this stage an experienced Vet is available for immediate assistance either in person or on the phone and questions and advice seeking are actively encouraged. When the Graduate is confident in taking calls and solo working during the normal working day then they are introduced to out-of-hours work on the same basis. The Graduate will become part of the team and be fully supported in the direction they want to take their career.
