Sales Development Representative

Hours: Full Time 

Joining: As soon as possible

Location: Leeds (currently working mostly remotely). Some travel may be required.

Our client is a rapidly growing London based startup, helping accountants to support their clients to make smarter purchasing decisions. Their goal is to deliver expert advice, in a simple way that’s quick for businesses to action.

Not to mention that business owners have too much on their plate to be navigating the commercial supplier world themselves. By connecting a business’ account to our client, they are able to identify personalised deals in just a couple of clicks. They then talk them through the savings and purchasing recommendations and handle any of the changes they would like to make. 

They’re one of the few companies that are thriving in the current climate, as they are helping other businesses reduce their costs and survive through this tough time.

A bit about the company

Right now, they are all working remotely and are staying connected through regular meetings on Google Hangouts, as well as an end of the week catch up and drinks. When they’re in the office, it’s a relaxed and informal environment with music, games of darts and after work drinks.

Your role

Reporting to the Head of Accountant Partnerships, you will be responsible for building and managing your own pipeline of accountants. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with accountants

  • Outreach via calls, emails and social platforms to grow new relationships

  • Attending industry networking events

  • Keep an up to date knowledge of the cloud accounting industry

  • Proactively seek out growth opportunities

  • Attending online and face to face meetings with new and existing accountant partners

You will be responsible for hitting your own target as well as contributing towards the company target. Your entrepreneurial nature will be key in driving the business forward.

About you

Must haves: 

  • Highly skilled communicator (both written and verbal) 

  • New business and / or account management experience (minimum of 3 years) 

  • Excellent presentation skills 

  • Proactive with the drive to manage your own workload and diary

  • Strong analytical thinker who thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment

The main part of your ‘pitch’ will be done using a presentation so having a strong and confident presentation manner is essential.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience selling into accounting firms

  • Persistence in the face of adversity

If you have experience selling into accounting firms or cloud accounting software it will help you to hit the ground running.
