Protocol Education are working on behalf of a Gateshead Secondary School to recruit a teaching assistant/ learning support assistant to work from September 2022 until July 2023 (term time only).
The successful candidate will work 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday, supporting children with special educational needs. As part of your role you will be supporting children, aged 11-16 with SEND, including ASC and SEMH in their day to day learning and routines. At times behaviour may be challenging, therefore you have a patient and caring personality.
This OFSTED graded good school is located within easy reach of the centre of Gateshead and MetroCentre, making it easily accessible to reach via public transport.
This role would be suitable for both experienced teaching assistants and recent graduates who have an interest in teaching but may have more limited experience. The opportunity to gain accredited qualifications while working will also be available.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
