Air Conditioning Engineer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Air Conditioning Engineer to join one of the UK’s leading maintenance providers working around the Plymouth and surrounding area.

Salary: £39,146 (inclusive of standby) plus paid travel time, overtime, call out, 33 days holiday, pension & excellent benefits – including private health care, life insurance

Hours: 45 hours a week – Monday to Friday

Standby / Call Out: 1 in 4

The role will involve traveling around the Plymouth area servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of commercial air conditioning systems as well as other associated HVAC plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance across a number of sites.
  • You will be the first line in all maintenance throughout your allocated sites.
  • Ensuring that all technical and compliance paperwork is completed and up to date.
  • Service and repair a range of equipment such as: split’s, VRV’s / VRF’s, fans, pumps, AHU’s, FCU’s etc
  • Safe working practices in relation to 3 phase and single-phase electrics and applications
  • Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by management
  • Qualifications / Experience:

    City & Guilds 2079 F-Gas Category 1
    City & Guilds – Air Conditioning / Refrigeration

    The ideal candidate:

  • Will have worked in a similar mobile role traveling around the region from home.
  • Be able to deal directly with customers and on-site management teams
  • Have the ability to work at heights, work in confined spaces
  • A hands-on, can-do and flexible approach to your work
  • Full Driving License as this is a mobile role
