Main duties of the job

Using advanced analytical skills assesses interprets and compares complex information to enable the development and implementation of nursing and midwifery objectives for the service and BCUHB.

Provide specialist interpretation and analysis of performance data, ensuing that monthly reporting is accurate and precise

Develop, implement and monitor training plans for both the CHC teams and RCAP, generate new ways of working in line with the service, Training and Development Strategy.

Ensure the availability of suitably qualified staff by coordinating the recruitment of staff, management of annual leave and sickness and sickness absence, and ensure staffing levels and skill mix are organised to effectively manage the clinical needs of patients and to provide a quality service. Actively participate in maximising staff retention.

Management of nursing staff, responsible for recruitment, career development, disciplinary, performance monitoring, appraisal and Continuing Professional Development.

Takes a lead for policy, protocol, guidelines and written control document development and implementation at specialty level for Nursing services

To be instrumental on forging new working alliances and relationships with other disciplines and other statutory and voluntary organisations.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
