Senior DevOps Engineer

As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will have the opportunity to architect and build infrastructure that is used by sports fans worldwide. You will work with a wide range of AWS services to deliver large scale sporting events to fans around the world.

You will work with a wide range of delivery squads and engineering teams around the business to provide them with the support, infrastructure and knowledge to achieve great results. Your aim will be to ensure the solutions developed have sufficient, scalable infrastructure with the means to ship code in a safe, reliable and continuous manner.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Managing the workload across the DevOps team, ensuring the needs of delivery squads and Engineers are met across the business
  • Lead and support other members of the DevOps team to achieve in their roles
  • Work closely with the Site Reliability Lead to ensure high availability of all services
  • Providing the infrastructure to run websites and applications that serve millions of requests every day
  • Providing visibility of and managing the hosting costs across the business and all client products
  • Full automation of software deployments
  • Provide tooling for developers to efficiently build and deploy applications
  • Provide technical support to Engineers in relation to infrastructure and code management
  • Communicating clearly to ensure the best possible solutions can be built
  • Developing own skills to get as many aspects to an expert level, as possible
  • Supporting the progression of other DevOps Engineers in the team
  • Driving forward the growth of the DevOps team in line with the wider company growth
  • Sharing of ideas and techniques across the engineering team, contributing to and learning from the team as a whole
