Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust (OHFT) is a research-active Trust with research studies ranging from small educational projects through to very complex and intensive Clinical Trials of Investigational Medicinal Products (CTIMPS) across a variety of disciplines from dementia, mental health, community health children and young people services. The post holder will primarily be responsible for reviewing sets of often complex documents pertaining to individual studies to assess whether the correct information and approvals are in place prior to commencement of recruitment activity at the Trust. They will also provide advice on the regulations and approvals processes to researchers seeking to conduct research within the OHFT.

The post holder is responsible for facilitating the delivery of the Trusts research governance standards and is responsible for monitoring compliance with the Research Governance Framework and any applicable regulatory requirements. The post holder will manage the processes to enable decisions to be made about the capacity and capability of the Trust to undertake research, thus, reducing the potential risk to the Trust and to its patients when taking part in the study. In addition, the post holder will be responsible for managing access to Oxford Health NHS FT staff, patients and premises by researchers from other NHS organisations and Universities as part of specific study activities.

They will be responsible to the maintenance of systems within the R&D department to capture and monitor research activity in line with internal and external metrics, and in particular the NIHR Performance in Initiating and Delivery of Research. They will also be responsible for the collection and collation of data that is required for internal Board reports and Key Performance Indicators.
