About the School

Knotty Ash is a vibrant and welcoming mainstream primary school with a nursery for 3-4 year olds. Integrated into the school, we have an established Deaf Resource Base. We are especially proud of the inclusive nature and ethos of the school, where all children are supported to reach their full potential and diversity is celebrated. We are committed to the pastoral, social and academic development of every child. Our aim is to engender in each child: a confident sense of identity, self-motivation and a lifelong love of learning.

About the Role
To work under the instruction & guidance of teaching & senior staff to undertake work,care and support programmes, to enable access to learning for individual pupil or pupils. To assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.

Well motivated, enthusiastic and flexible. High expectations personally and for the children. Willing to accept responsibility and take initiative. Ability to relate to and motivate pupils. Good organisation skills. Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, integrity, loyalty, sensitivity and patience. Ability to relate to parents & carers. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Experience and an interest in supporting children with SEND.
