The Pre-sales Consultant in the Environment and Planning team supports the sales, product management and marketing teams by demonstrating software to new and existing customers. They provide product capability information which might be a written tender response, creating short videos or simply verbally sharing domain expertise.

Experience in a similar role would be ideal, but it’s as important to find the right person who can communicate our passion for the software we create.

We don’t expect you to know about all our business areas right now and there’s a lot to learn, but you’ll be part of a dedicated, supportive team who care about what we do. If you’re keen to learn, care about public services and enjoy communicating, this could be for you.

This role is home based but you will be expected to travel throughout the UK including overnight stays.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Completion of tender responses
  • Building and scripting product demonstrations
  • Delivery of product demonstrations to new and existing customers
  • Liaising with technical teams to maintain product demonstration environments
  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Excellent communication and grammar skills
  • Self motivated – ability to work independently
  • Enjoys working as part of a team
  • Experience of presenting to an audience
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Enthusiastic and pro-active approach to all work activities and deliverables
  • High Level of IT skills including competent use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Keen to learn our business areas
  • THE FOLLOWING WOULD BE HIGHLY ADVANTAGEOUS:

  • Experience of pre-sales activities including software product demonstration and tender responses
  • Knowledge and understanding of UK Local Authorities
  • Awareness of one or more of Environmental Health, Trading Standards, Licensing, Private Sector Housing, Planning, Building Control or Land Charges.
