Main duties of the job

The post- holder will ensure that operational, performance, service modernisation and improvement, governance and activity targets are achieved across North Wales, and will operate with significant autonomy. The Post-holder will lead and implement major service developments within Neonatal Services, in line with BCUHB and National / local Neonatal Guidelines to meet national targets.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Professional Nursing Qualification On NMC register
  • Masters Degree or significant masters level experience or working towards
  • Recognised Professional Qualification in Neonatal Care e.g. ENB 405 or extensive experience in neonatal care
  • Evidence of continuing personal and professional development.
  • Desirable criteria

  • Management or professional qualification at post graduate level.
  • Experience

    Essential criteria

  • Significant relevant management experience working with Neonatal multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Evidence of ability to implement and manage change in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Experience in human resource issues and conflict resolution.
  • Experience in preparing, producing and negotiating business and service development plans.
  • SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
