An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 8B Advanced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner within NHS Forth Valley Neonatal Acute Services.

Our 20 cot, Level 2 Neonatal Unit provides Intensive Care; High Dependency Care; Special and Transitional Care as well as Outreach Services for the babies within Forth Valley.

A first level NMC Registration and an Advanced Neonatal Nurse Qualification at Masters Levels as well as MSc Independent Nurse Prescribing certificate (recorded by the NMC) are essential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of advanced Neonatal Intensive Care, working alongside medical and nursing colleagues to provide a high standard of care within the Neonatal Unit.

The successful candidate will provide expert clinical care at an advanced level to babies and families, be a keen team player, have excellent communication skills and facilitate teaching and supervision to junior medical staff, nursing staff and students to ensure safe, evidence based practice is delivered. A key part of this role will be looking at areas of quality improvement work to drive forward and instill positive changes in the care pathways for the babies and their families ensuring the best possible start in life.
