Due to the increase in capital works projects across the Infrastructure & Projects Division (IPD), the Signalling & Telecoms Projects office require additional Signalling design resources to support the delivery of a broad range of capital projects. The Assistant Signalling Design Engineers will assist in the production of Signalling designs in compliance with the relevant UK Railway Standards.The post holder will assist in the preparation of design specification and condition surveys. They will undertake non-complex Signalling designs under mentorship of a senior designer and perform these duties to specified standards of safety, quality, and productivity. Essential Criteria ¿ Minimum of OND or equivalent in an electrical/ electronic related subject.¿ Experience of using a CAD drawing package.¿ Experience of using Microsoft 365 business applications.¿ Hold a full current driving license and have access to a vehicle to meet the requirements of the post. Desirable Criteria ¿ Qualified to degree or HND level.¿ Previous experience of working in a railway environment.¿ Previous experience of railway Signalling engineering.¿ Previous knowledge of Telecoms systems.
