We are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to begin work on a full-time basis in a Primary school based in North Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.

In your role as an SEN TA, you will be working predominantly on a 1:1 basis with year 3 and 4 pupils with EHCP’s and supporting them with their learning through accurate monitoring of their progression in class and maintaining their focus on work that is set. The school is large and has adequate areas on site that allow 1:1 sessions to be carried out in a professional and calm environment outside of the classroom also.

What we need from you:

  • Prior experience supporting SEN statemented pupils such as: ASC, MLD, SEMH, HI or VI.
  • A ‘can do’ approach to any given situation or challenge
  • The ability to offer 1:1 support
  • Exceptional communication and behavioural management skills
  • The ability to assess and track progress of pupils
