Role Overview

The purpose of this role is working in the Global Technology team, writing copy for advanced innovative internal software products for our client teams across the media line of business.

We need creative task-based problem solvers who are passionate about creating elegant product experiences that embody the dentsu brand, whilst solve the problems the business and the users have in their day-to-day working lives.

We are working with a world leading media company based in Central London require passionate, enthusiastic Senior Copywriter to join their product department. This is a copywriting role that focuses both on championing the importance of copy within the UI, as well as in other areas that support the delivery of our products (help and support, release notes documentation, scripts for videos etc).

As a Senior Copywriter you will be involved in working closely with in-house designers on a day-to-day basis, helping to understand the requirements whilst delivering UI that is clear, that we can test and validate with our users.

The person will be a true team player; flexible, positive and a willingness to collaborate in varying sized groups – teaming with others from different disciplines. Their attitude and approach to tackling copy challenges and making the complex appear simple – is probably the most important aspects of this role.

They will be strong advocates of writing with a specific tone in mind, whilst contributing to the overall ambitions of the programme to standardise copy guidelines and principles in order to achieve a consistent tone of voice across the products our business uses.

Any experience that looks to standardise guidelines, principles at a UI component level is a bonus.

The Senior Copywriter must have the following to proceed to interview stage:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working within a product environment is highly advantageous, working with a variety of different disciplines (from BA’s, product owners, to UX designers)
  • Proven experience working on copy for a SaaS or enterprise level tool/platforms is a must. This is not a creative-led copy role
  • Comprehends and understands brand continuity, brand guidelines and brand positioning
  • Creatively supports the effective use of technology and its applications to solve business problems
  • Writes narratives, scripts and storyboards is advantageous for video medium.

Experience:

  • 6+ years relevant industry experience working within a digital process/product function, either client or agency-side (or preferably a combination) in a copywriting capacity.
  • Proven experience in writing copy for UI specifically.
  • Experience or awareness of media (offline/digital media highly advantageous, but not essential).
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate rationale, ideas, and solutions to teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Worked with Product Managers, the business and technical teams to determine different approaches to support business solutions.
