Responsibility:

 To assist the Head of Housekeeping and the Deputy Head of Housekeeping in ensuring that the highest possible standard of housekeeping is achieved in designated College buildings within the allocated budget.Person specification: 

We are looking for a highly motivated, dedicated and loyal member of staff who has a ‘can-do’ attitude and can work at a good pace to high standards.

You should have a good command of English for verbal and written communication. An NVQ level 3 in Housekeeping or equivalent is desirable.

You should also be:

  • Able to achieve and maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Flexible, yet well organised in your approach to work.
  • Reliable, with a methodical and thorough approach.
  • Observant and able to report/follow up on any areas of concern accurately.
  • Able to cope with a varied and demanding workload.
  • Able to work with and cover for other members of the staff team during periods of absence.
  • Knowledgeable about basic Health & Safety guidelines.
  • You should be flexible in your approach to working overtime, and available to work occasional weekends during busy periods. 

    Previous supervisory experience in a Hotel or similar environment is essential. Previous experience in training new staff and conducting appraisals is desirable.
