The Job

The position is based at Warner Bros. De Lane Lea, in Soho, which provides sound and picture post production as well as Dailies services for feature films and television. WBDLL comprises of comprehensive facilities including Sound Re-Recording and ADR stages, Grading Theatres, Preview Theatres and a full complement of highly-equipped supporting departments in addition to 50 cutting rooms and a bar/café based in the heart of Soho and at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden.

The Post Production Engineer will provide technical support to all external and internal clients to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Facility. You will use your excellent post-production experience to provide an essential service to the studios, working as part of a close-knit team within a shift pattern which may include occasional evenings and weekends.

The Daily

  • Ensure the highest possible technical standards are maintained in all areas of the facility.

  • Ensure the rolling maintenance schedules of studios & other areas are applied and maintained.

  • Address any technical repairs or servicing issues promptly and refer to the Head of Technology where required.

  • Under the guidance of the Head of Technology, liaise with equipment suppliers and service companies regarding equipment repairs and maintenance.

  • Keep up to date with technological developments and make recommendations for areas of development.

  • Provide technical support to all personnel and sessions.

  • Undertake any necessary installation projects required

  • Technical support resource for the DLL site in general

  • The Essentials

  • Experience of using and supporting Avid Pro Tool and DFC consoles/Avid S6 control surfaces in a post production mixing environment.

  • Previous experience of supporting Filmlight Baselight and Autodesk Flame systems.

  • Experience working in a Re-Recording studio environment, with excellent knowledge of production and post production techniques.

  • Supporting Mac OS systems at a professional level.

  • Managing Layer 2/3 networking hardware

  • Using and supporting streaming systems including Clearview and TVIPS

  • Mix stage monitoring (up to Atmos) line-ups and projector calibration

  • Experience in supporting shared media storage systems i.e. Avid Nexis, DDP, StorNext, GPFS.

  • Good working knowledge of current MPAA security standards.
