Team

is responsible for the creation and maintenance of bespoke applications that enable the firm to perform more productively or to deliver competitive advantages. The team is largely split between the UK and India.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside an agile squad of developers working closely with the product owners to deliver product enhancements and new products to ensure the practice is equipped with the best tools to all them to provide a high quality of service
  • Analyse project scope and help to define and set technical direction to help achieve the milestones for the various initiatives
  • Contribute to the overall data strategy so that the firm is best positioned to build suitable future functionality
  • Manage the CRUD application landscape from an architectural perspective delivering single views of master data
  • Be a trusted advisor to the firm on best practice software development, including risks, timelines, trends, and appropriate development methodology and technologies for a given objective.
  • Required experience

  • Development and support of enterprise applications essential
  • Knowledge of SQL server 2014+ essential
  • Writing T-SQL, creation of jobs, stored procedures and functions essential
  • Creating table indexes to improve database performance essential
  • Data transformation / SSIS essential
  • Creation of data source essential
  • Visual Studio 2019+ essential
  • Source control, GIT essential
  • Use of different reporting tools (Power BI, SQL Reporting Services, etc) desirable
  • Working within a distributed development team (15+) desirable
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies desirable
  • XML desriable
  • Azure DevOps desirable
  • Knowledge of third party tools, such as SQL Redgate desirable.
