The Role

Bilton Veterinary Centre have an exciting opportunity for a qualified veterinary nurse to join their friendly team! Our ideal candidate is an experienced nurse who is confident in all aspects of routine nursing. Your day-to-day duties will include anaesthesia, in-patient care, nurse-led clinics, and wider clinical skills. You will be passionate about preventative health care and an interest in client education and using social media to provide this, would be useful. We are happy to accept both full/part-time applications for this role, with an equally shared weekend rota. Weekday out of hours is minimal as we only cover 7 pm-10 pm and have two nurses dedicated to this. Saturday out of hours runs from 1 pm, covering inpatient care only (when required). Some additional paid cover work is available. The salary for this position is up to £26,150 FTE depending on experience.

About Us

We are a well-established, single-site practice based in Rugby, ideally situated for road and rail networks but also surrounded by lovely countryside. We have easy access to nearby Coventry and Leamington as well as only being 50 mins from London by train. We have a large, loyal client base and we pride ourselves on case continuity. We are very passionate about client education and use our website and social media to help provide this.

About the Team and Culture

Our fantastic team is made up of 8 vets and 11 nurses, with excellent support from 4 receptionists and 3 administrators. We encourage our vets to pursue their personal interests and have several team members studying for medicine, ophthalmology, and feline certificates. Across the team, we have a range of interests including orthopaedics, soft-tissue surgery, and imaging. Whilst you will need to be competent in all aspects of veterinary nursing, we allow our teams interests to flourish and grow.
