Responsibilities for the Technical Sales Manager include –

  • Managing the commercial relationship and development of both existing and new customers across the UK
  • Develop key customer relationships, together with attracting and building on these relationships to maximise growth
  • Work with project managers on technical realisation of part production by assisting with customer needs specifications
  • Develop solutions within additive manufacturing for new customers, using your strong problem-solving skills to identify needs and formulate technical solutions with our commercial service teams
  • Support the UK Sales Manager in negotiations and tenders, for securing new business in the Additive Manufacturing division
  • Coordinate and chair meetings with customers, ensuring strong relationships are built
  • Ensure the delivery of financial KPI’s in relation to volume, sales and profit, as well as forecasting
  • Provide input to commercial strategy programmes and innovation solutions, as well as budget planning in support of relevant projects and new business acquisition
  • To plan, attend and deliver demonstrations of equipment, support trade fairs and exhibitions throughout the year
  • You’ll work from home full autonomy over your own diary, booking and scheduling meetings with customers. As the position will require nationwide travel, this position will require extensive travel, and overnight stays at times.

    To be successful in this role, the suitable candidate will have the following skills and experience –

  • Previous technical Sales experience within an OEM of capital equipment, bespoke machinery, or technical products
  • Strong negotiation skills with a consultative approach
  • Comfortable giving presentations
  • Networking, interpersonal, relationship building & stakeholder management skills
  • High levels of commercial awareness and an astute eye for identifying commercial opportunities.
  • Analytical and good with data; including, sales and marketing trends, benchmarking, joint business plans, and forecasting
  • Creative and strategic thinker, able to challenge established ways of doing things
