The role

will involve working across these work types.You will work with lawyers in construction, planning, real estate disputes, tax, corporate, environmental and procurement as well as lawyers in the cross office Real Estate NSL. The team The Real Estate practice at Mills & Reeve is one of the leading teams in the UK. Nationally we number over 100 lawyers and regularly advise some of the UK¿s leading and most prestigious organisations and institutions on the most complex of projects.You will be working with Birmingham partners, Christian Bull and Michael Whatley, together with other Real Estate NSL lawyers. The Real Estate NSL is headed up by Richard Hanson. Experience required You will be 8+ years PQE (or equivalent experience) with experience gained with a City or large regional law firm, recognised for real estate work. Essential You will possess:

  • good academics (2.1 degree or equivalent and good A levels or equivalent)
  • excellent written English and ability to produce clear, logical drafting
  • good numeracy skills
  • negotiating skills
  • good lateral thinking, problem solving skills
  • good attention to detail
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • enthusiasm towards building and strengthening relationships with clients and their advisors.
  • a good team player being able to work with several team members from both inside and outside the Real Estate NSL
  • effective time and matter management skills and a systematic approach to work, together with drive and commitment to see a job through.
  • good marketing technique with clients and multipliers is key too.
  • Desirable Experience of participating in team projects; and experience of advising clients in the health or education sectors on property matters would be desirable.
