Duties for the CNC Machinist include –

  • Running of various CNC Sliding Head Lathes within the turning section
  • Edit, modify, and prove out pre written programmes
  • Full machine setup including tooling, material speeds, and feeds
  • First off each job using measuring equipment, before the part is issued to the quality department for pass off
  • Working to extremely close tolerances
  • Producing anything from small to medium batch parts as required
  • Supporting the department when required, working on various other machines within the CNC department
  • Completion of job route cards and production charts as required
  • Daily maintenance checks and housekeeping in the machine shop
  • To be successful in this role, we’re looking for the following skills and experience

    Previous experience as a CNC machinist, setting & running CNC Sliding Head Lathes
    Ability to use FANUC controls
    Be able to interpret customer drawings and diagrams
    Confident with multiple setups and

    Working hours are 8am – 4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 8am – 1pm on Friday
