The Product Supply NPI Lead is the core team member of the Prime Product/Component
Group’s NPI core team. This role is the Procurement and Supply Network representative
responsible for planning, coordinating, governing and reporting Purchasing’s participation in the
NPI process. This includes target validation and governance to meet GW3 commitments.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
* To represent Purchasing in the Core NPI teams
* Provide leadership for the NPI activities within Purchasing
* Ensure NPI conformance on procurement issues at each gateway
* Hold NPI & design teams accountable for meeting quality and timeliness of requirements
* Accountable for purchasing meeting GW3 commitments
* Responsible for the forecasting and management of procurement related capital and
expense items (supplier tooling)
* Work with Global Category teams to drive on time supplier selection
* Lead component make versus buy decisions
* Tracking of material cost forecasts through to GW7, ensuring compliance to component
should cost targets

Skills and Experience:

Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
* Previous experience within a relevant function i.e. preferably procurement or logistics
however manufacturing or engineering will be considered
* Experience of project leadership
* Analytical, problem solving
* Effective communication skills

Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:

* Professional certification in Purchasing and/or Inventory Management i.e. CIPS
* Exposure to NPI processes
* Previous experience of dealing with suppliers
