A highly innovative manufacturing business that is globally renowned as being a leader within its industry, is now seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its team that’s continued to grow throughout testing times. Reporting directly to the Mechanical Lead, this new member of the team will utilise a broad range of design/development skill’s to work towards new industrial automation, that’s aligned with pioneering technologies.

Mechanical Design Engineer responsibilities include –

  • Lead the mechanical team, managing their capacity and developing their skillset.
  • Help with the ongoing design and build of prototype products.
  • Communicate with all teams on site to help ensure that a quality service is delivered.
  • Ensure that customer requirements and project time-lines are adhered to.
  • Provide the relevant technical training on new products to both staff and clients.
  • Keep abreast of new industry tools, techniques and technologies.
  • We’d love to hear from you if you have the following –

  • Experience working within a similar role.
  • Up to date with modern day manufacturing processes.
  • Confident liaising with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Fully conversant with software packages such as Solidworks, Solid Edge, Siemens NX.
  • Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering education (HNC/HND), or relevant training.
