Role: 2nd Line Support Engineer
Type: Temporary
Duration: Three Months Initially
Start date: ASAP
Pay rate: Outside IR35
Location: Birmingham City Centre
Key duties:
– Employ Active Directory and Group Policy to manage/configure user accounts
– Triage and resolve complex IT situations and issues, escalating when necessary
– Relay technical and functionality guidance to IT Users
– Resolve IT User issues over telephone, email, or via remote access
– Working knowledge of Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10 operating systems
Required skills:
– Ability to communicate with staff and customers of all levels, relaying IT advice to non-technical persons
– Strong working knowledge of Microsoft OS and MS Office applications
– Resolution of calls ranging from simple password resets to complex server queries
– To work as part of a close-knit and highly skilled team of Engineers
