Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Geologist, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Development geology and reservoir modelling for field development.
* Technically rigorous geological interpretation and evaluation using Petrel.
* Reservoir correlation, characterisation, mapping and model building.
* Assess and communicate geological risk.
* In-field prospect generation and well proposals.
* Provide geological input to workover and reperforation opportunities.
* Well planning and operations, including support for drilling and well operations.
* Peer review colleagues work.
* Demonstrated competency in safety critical skills such as prediction of abnormal subsurface pressures and wellbore instability.
* Project leadership/coordinating experience is expected, including preparation of work schedules and plans, and the ability to lead projects as required.

Experience & Qualifications:
* Development geology.
* Technical problem solving.
* Strong reservoir description skills (sedimentology, petrophysics, etc.)
* Mapping, well correlation, geocellular modelling.
* Ability to produce technically astute fit-for-purpose evaluations.
* Definition of volumetrics and reserves.
* Risk analysis.
* Ability to construct work plans and schedules.
* Familiarity with geophysics, petrophysics, reservoir engineering, production engineering and drilling engineering to allow effective communication and coordination within team.
* Well planning and operations.
* Experience in Operated field development projects.
* Experienced user of Petrel software
* Degree or equivalent in geoscience.
* Oil industry Operator experience.
* North Sea UKCS experience, preferably in the Brent province.
* Experience of infill drilling campaigns in mature fields.
