We are actively seeking dynamic, caring Healthcare Assistants to join our team to work in a large, purpose built Hospital in the outskirts of Newport. The Hospital incorporates many dementia and ABI friendly features, and they aim to create an environment that is not only innovative and therapeutic but also encourages patient proactivity. 
We are looking for resilient individuals who can provide specialist care and support to patients who can display challenging behaviour, both physical and psychiatric. With your support you will help enable the patients to achieve more independence and self responsibility, preparing them for community transitions and social integration.

  • Location: Langstone (Near Newport), Gwent
  • Job Type: Flexible agency work. Block Bookings available for right candidates
  • Shifts: 7:30AM until 7:30pm / 7:30PM until 7:30AM (1 hour break)
  • Pay: £11.09 hourly (inclusive of holiday entitlement)

About the Role:
Supporting patients with health conditions to deliver individual care and social needs, you will appreciate each individual patient for their unique personalities and amazing life stories whilst providing holistic, specialist, individual therapeutic care and treatment to each patient.

The patients within your care can display high levels of challenging behaviours that some people may find distressing. Due to this, all staff members are required to have valid restraint training such as MAPA / TMVA / PMVA.

If you do not have the required training it is mandatory that you attend our specialist 3 day PMVA training course. This course usually costs £250 or more. We are able to offer this to you at a highly discounted price of £75! (We pay the remainder).
