Robert Half are working exclusively on a retained basis for a soon to be listed FTSE 100 business for a Leading Real Estates Development enterprise based in Northampton to recruit for a FP&A Analyst paying £60,000 to £70,000

The role is based in our clients Northampton office and is offered on a full-time basis and are seeking an FP&A Analyst to join their financial planning team.

The candidate will need a measured approach, a smart appearance, a flexible and strong work ethic, able to demonstrate their initiative, be self-motivated, organised, efficient and reliable and must be willing to travel to Manchester and London on occasion. They will enjoy the buzz from working within a fast paced environment and will need to stay calm under pressure.

Becoming the go to expert on company level forecasts as well as day to day financial appraisal support, the successful candidate will be a good team player, with strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the business and adds value commercially.
  • Help to advance and monitor the KPIs of the business over time
  • Take ownership of the monthly forecast reporting and manage the process end to end
  • Support the Senior Analyst with quarterly reporting of the portfolio.
  • Produce and enhance the the regular reporting,
  • Support the property team on their appraisals over time
  • Create effective and credible partnerships by working collaboratively to support and challenge stakeholders in all forecast and reporting matters including, project budgets, forecasting actual spend tracking and control
  • Provide ad-hoc support to all other members of the finance team when required

Candidate Profile:

  • Must have a very strong working knowledge of Excel, with a working knowledge of Argus Developer not essential but would be an advantage
  • Have built and maintained excel financial models
  • Have an analytical mindset, commercial curiosity and willingness to learn.
  • Eager to investigate the detail behind the numbers and use critical thinking to solve problems and hit deadlines
  • Be able to understand complex financial concepts and communicate them to a wide audience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to take responsibility for production of high quality and accurate work
  • Ability to multitask and to work effectively under pressure
  • Ability to work in a team and understand team dynamics
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to provide exceptional support
