Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join an established, exciting, growing business based in Cheltenham. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:

Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Completion and provision to the business of daily and weekly trading information to enable its effective management by the Operations teams
  • Support the production of weekly stock count result- working closely with Operations team & investigating/correcting error and issues
  • Full control of sales ledger including raising daily, weekly & monthly sales invoices & credit control
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Processing business expenses and company credit cards
  • Posting of petty cash
  • Managing day-to-day transactions – sales, and all cost of sales movements
  • Assisting the finance department and the senior management team through the provision of financial information as requested
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable Assistant in reconciling supplier statements & payment runs
  • Posting of sales, payroll, accruals, pre-payments, and other ad-hoc journals
  • Reporting on debtors and creditors and chasing any outstanding debts
  • Managing monthly budgeting tasks
  • Resolving errors in financial reports and correcting faulty reporting methods

Person specification:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office especially in Excel – Pivot tables, V Look ups etc
  • Attention to detail
  • Willing to learn
  • Previous experience in finance role, experience with reporting is desirable
  • Positive, “can do” attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • AAT / CIMA / ACCA part qualified or qualified by experience
