Located near the centre of Exeter with easy access to public transport routes The Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital is one of the leading Foundation Trusts in the UK and is looking to for an experienced Multi-trade (mechanical & electrical) Craftsperson to join their dynamic Estates Team.

The successful applicant will be involved in the daily maintenance and repair of commercial laundry equipment and be expected to demonstrate a good working knowledge of associated mechanical and electrical systems on laundry equipment and machinery to help keep this integrated critical service operational.

Have the ability to undertake immediate and effective repairs to laundry plant and equipment with the minimum supervision. Works will be in compliance with all statutory requirements, good practice guidelines and working to specifications and drawings and manufacturers service & maintenance recommendations.

The successful applicant must be able to apply a high degree of attention to detail whilst working on such systems and equipment and also be precise in the recording of relevant results.

Having a thorough knowledge of commercial laundry equipment would be an advantage.

Participation in an out of hours on-call system is required and a willingness to work flexible hours when required would be expected.

Salary: Band 4 – £22,549 – £24,882 per annum, plus unsocial hours and on call payments, plus £3,277 Recruitment and Retention Premium.

Hours: 37.5 per week, currently operating an Early (6am- 2pm) & Late (2pm-10pm) Mon-Fri Shift Pattern
