ICON Global Health Economics, Outcomes Research & Epidemiology (GHEORE) is part of ICON plc, a leading global Clinical Research Organization headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. Our group undertakes consultancy projects for international clients in both the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors, supporting late-phase clinical trials.

The Project Analyst will work on various projects within the GHEORE discipline. The group is respected globally for the quality and innovation of their applied qualitative and quantitative work. Our team is based in several countries globally.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Analyst I to join our GHEORE Operations team. The Project Analyst I supports the assigned Scientific Research department or functional team through the demonstrated ability to complete assigned projects and tasks. The Project Analyst I work closely with other team members of the project team, client, scientific teams, and internal and external clients and vendors for successful project execution.

**The ideal candidate will have demonstrable project analyst experience in a similar role with significant work experience in working within local and international projects.

Skills

* Responsible for supporting the project team with planning, execution, financial and timeline management of projects while adhering to SOPs and performance metric standards.
* Adheres to project communication plan ensuring customer’s communication needs are met
* Anticipates and responds to project needs with limited guidance.
* Responsible for maintaining accurate and timely project updates (financial data, billing milestones, invoicing, contracting and other study details) using ICON’s business operations tools and platforms

* Initiate, review & execute contracting (clients, vendors, free-lancers)

* Initiate the invoicing process and manage the invoices and their reconciliation with budget of the projects

* Set-up and maintain the project folders and archiving

* Assists with the financial tracking of projects by maintaining business operations tools/platform.
* Identifies risks with assigned tasks and projects and effectively communicates strategies to minimize those risks.

* Supports Project Managers and Scientific Research teams in ad-hoc projects tasks

To succeed you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business/finance, technology, information technology or related discipline
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of work experience in a similar role
  • Fluency in English both orally and in writing, with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organization and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Problem-solving capabilities.
  • Quality and detail-oriented.
  • Strong team player in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Self-starter and pro-active
  • Consistently positive attitude and unwavering work ethic
  • Ability to learn new tools, technologies and strategies related to the department’s service area.
  • High proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
