SEND Teaching Assistants
Location – Warrington, UK

The Education Network is currently seeking experienced Teaching Assistants for a very well respected SEND School in the central Warrington area. We regularly recruit good Teaching Assistants for the school to assist on a day-to-day basis, and to cover longer term roles as they become available-many of which have led on to permanent positions within the school. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience within a fantastic school specialising in educating students with Complex Learning Needs. The school has consistently been rated as ‘Excellent’ in the last 3 OfSted inspections. The school caters for students from EYFS up to A-Level (having a shared VI Form facility on site).

You will have experience of, and enjoy working with students who have complex SEND learning requirements-gained either in a similar school environment, or as a parent/guardian/carer. If you have experience of personal care, this would be advantageous to work with some specific students-but it is not essential. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience within a very pro-active school, with strong community links, an excellent reputation, and an ethos to encourage students to enjoy their learning environment. The school is easily accessible by public transport (bus/train), should you not have access to your own vehicle.

You will work under the guidance of teaching staff, to support the student in and out of the classroom. You should have good communication skills as you will have to liaise between both the student and class teachers. If you believe in working collaboratively with all staff to make a positive contribution to the learning and development of students, then we want to hear from you.

We also recruit for other similar roles in specific SEND schools in Warrington, Runcorn, Northwich-as well as mainstream SEND Departments in both the Primary & Secondary sectors.

The successful candidates will:
– Have previous experience of working in a similar environment, or with those with similar needs
– A willingness to participate in relevant training and development opportunities
– Be keen to learn and develop professionally
– Be able to work on their own initiative, as well as collaboratively
– Be pro-active team members, committed to raising standards and achievements of all students
– Have a passion for education that shows in your approach and methodology

In return, whilst working for The Education Network you will have access to:
-A designated Consultant, providing support throughout your assignment
-Ongoing, free CPD via Educare-a nationally recognised education training provider:
-Example Courses:
Safeguarding Young People
Child Protection in Education

To express interest, please submit a CV via the link below, and if suitably qualified our consultant will contact you to further discuss these roles. If you wish to specifically discuss whether your experience is suitable for these types of position, please call Eileen Norris on 01925 247820
