Western General Hospital

We are looking for an enthusiastic pharmacy technician to join our multidisciplinary and pharmacy team at the Regional Infectious Diseases Unit (RIDU) based at the Western General Hospital. This is an exciting new post to provide a clinical pharmacy technician service to outpatient clinics in RIDU, which has over 800 patients on antiretroviral medicines.

This is a rare chance for development in this specialist area with upcoming service improvement opportunities to further explore the impact of a pharmacy technician in this area. This is an excellent post for a Band 4 pharmacy technician with suitable qualifications looking for progression or a Band 5 pharmacy technician seeking for expansion of your portfolio.

Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team are key attributes. Applicants must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Dispensary Checking Technician and HNC qualifications or equivalent are essential to this role.

For more information or to discuss the post further please contact Rhoda Morgan/ Alison Thomson, Lead Pharmacists, Regional Infectious Diseases Unit at 0131 537 2858 or via email at or
