As an Office Based Medical Affairs Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring adequate therapy area input, maximized leveraging of existing Medical platforms, and aligned implementation of Medical Affairs processes and initiatives across the Medical organization.

In this role you will

  • Represent business voice, leverage Medical platforms, and lead implementation and support for Medical Affairs processes and projects launched across Global Medical Affairs (GMA) and regions (e.g. Medical Science Liaison practices, Medical Excellence, etc.)
  • Serve as GMA representative to support transversal business prioritization exercises (e.g. Business Planning, Green Table), orchestrate Regional Prioritization, and ensure follow-up of delivery.
  • Establish and enhance effective GMA communication and exchange with Local Operating Companies (LOCs).
  • Impact assessment and support for roll-out of new processes in collaboration with Business Operations Lead.
  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) to embed innovative processes (from Medical Innovation) in GMA and regional teams.
  • Establish and enhance mechanisms to leverage Medical Insights across Medical Affairs.

  • A GMC registered medical doctor or GPhC registered pharmacist
  • Working knowledge and practical interpretation of ABPI code of practice and MHRA regulations in a professional setting
  • Strong therapeutic knowledge in vaccines
  • Continuous record of career achievement in the life sciences industry. 
  • A good understanding of the changing UK health care environment, especially in relation to implementation of vaccine programme
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, self-reliant
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Final medical signatory i.e. A GMC registered medical doctor or registered pharmacist
  • Medical Affairs experience in a relevant therapy area
  • Therapy area knowledge in infectious diseases, immunology, public health, general medicine or paediatrics is desired but not essential.
  • Excellent understanding of medical functions and medical affairs activities.
