Duties of the role

The opportunity has arisen for motivated individuals to join our team. While following health and Safety guidelines at all times, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing a quality; customer focused cleaning service within the campus residential accommodation.

On a day to day basis, your duties will include but not be limited to the following;

  • Cleaning communal areas of the residential buildings
  • Clean bedrooms including en-suite shower/toilet areas after occupancy
  • Move furniture and soft furnishings during and after cleaning as necessary
  • Report any defects or repairs
  • You must have previous cleaning experience and the ability to undertake domestic cleaning to a high standard with good communication skills, a positive attitude to delivering good customer service and a flexible approach to work. 

    Appointment to this post will be made on a permanent, part-time (24 hours per week) basis. The current working pattern being Monday to Thursday 9am to 2pm and Friday 9am to 1pm, however in the interests of working efficiency the University may from time to time review current working patterns.

    Due to the nature of the role, it is essential you can fulfil the staff vetting requirements in respect of University Positions of Trust.
