About the role

Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a Water Coordinator to join our team to work in Coleshill, Birmingham.

Role Purpose:

To support field water monitoring programmes completed by BBV and external contractors on technical standards / specifications and then subsequent data management and analysis / processing of data.

What you’ll be doing

  • Accountable for the support of groundwater and surface water data to support consents applications and required by BBV
  • Accountable for the support of admin process to support the water team.
  • Raising awareness of and communication our obligations in respect of groundwater and Surface water compliance
  • Assisting our monitoring subcontractor by sharing local knowledge and assist them with site arrangements.
  • To support with all internal and external admin processes for groundwater and surface water scope.
  • To support with the organisation and management of groundwater data
  • To support with the access of groundwater data from Ispatial and other data sources.
  • Identifying and existing and proposed locations for groundwater monitoring.
  • To visit / be familiar with the area / assets / water environment for the area where consent is being applied for including site visits as agreed with BBV.
  • Who we’re looking for

  • An environment/water graduate with a minimum of six months experience.
  • Data management and or consenting experience for construction
  • Ispatial experience
  • A basic understanding of hydrogeology, surface water/ groundwater and dewatering monitoring design
  • Data management for groundwater and surface water
  • Experience of surface water and groundwater monitoring design
