We recognise the value that different skills and experiences can bring to our business so previous industry knowledge is not essential.Join us as a Fast Track Management Apprentice and youll follow a 2 year programme that has been designed to make you ready to be an Assistant Branch Manager at one of our BSS branches upon completion. Not only will it accelerate your career, it will also reward you with a nationally recognised qualification. Hours of work : Our working hours also offer a great work life balance – you will cover 40 hours per week between 7.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Most of our customers choose to enjoy their weekends and bank holidays which means you can too! Salary : £20,600 + an annual bonus + 22 days holiday plus bank holidays + six monthly incremental increases of £1,200 based in performance being at expected level + discounts and benefits, access to health and wellbeing advice and support  Location : This position will be based at our BSS branch on Port Road Business Park Carlisle but during your programme you will spend time in other branches within your region. This will require the successful candidate to have a full UK driving licence and ideally access to a vehicle, as you will be required to travel to different locations. How will we support you? Right from the start of your career with us, youll be supported in your development. Youll join our Service and Know How Programme for the first 12 months where youll build up technical knowledge of our product ranges and a strong understanding of our business so that you can confidently and safely serve our customers and develop lasting and profitable relationships with them. In year 2 , youll focus on developing your skills as a leader. Youll learn about different leadership techniques, allowing you to pick the one you think will work best for you. Through 1:1 coaching, mentoring, digital study and technical and skills training, youve got a fantastic support network that will support you, not only through the apprenticeship programme, but your day to day development to enable you to progress to a management position. Our Apprenticeships are focused on your development and factor study time into your working week, so you can achieve your qualification without affecting your work-life balance.You dont need any previous experience to be considered for our Fast Track Management Apprenticeship but for the best chance of securing yourself a place, youll need to be someone who:

  • Knows what great customer service looks like and how to provide it
  • Is able to build relationships with people at all levels and enjoys working within a sales environment
  • Loves to learn, develop and expand their knowledge and self develop themselves
  • Is willing to travel, and be flexible in terms of location
  • Holds a full UK driving licence
  • Is age 18 or over
