The Role
Here at Axe Valley Vets Weston, we are looking for a qualified veterinary nurse to join our team. The role involves a good variety of all aspects of nursing including ward, theatre, and clinics.
The role includes working a variety of shift patterns from 8:30-19:00 with no out-of-hours or bank holidays. The rota will involve 1 in 4 Saturday mornings, however this can be negotiable. We will also accept part-time applications.
The salary for this role is up to £28,000 depending on experience.
About Us
Axe Valley Vets Weston is a medium-sized, friendly, long-standing practice in a seaside location with excellent transport links. There are a good variety of clients and cases, including visiting specialists (orthopaedic/ Ultrasonographer). We have all the usual equipment including an in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, ultrasonography, and separate dog and cat wards. We have recently merged with a larger Practice in the neighbouring area for clinical collaboration.
Currently, we have 2 Veterinary Surgeons, 1 full-time Veterinary Nurse, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse, 1 full-time Animal Nursing Assistant and 2 Receptionists.
Applicant Requirements
Our ideal candidate will be fun, friendly, forward-thinking, and be involved in our social events. Being a qualified Veterinary Nurse essential but newly qualified Nurses are welcome as sufficient support is given. Added benefit you can bring your dog to work.
