Tradewind are currently supporting a large Secondary school in Haringey with their need for a HLTA to support the SEN department/SENCO.

You will be required to support in the area of SEND and additional needs to promote the inclusion and achievement of all pupils as well as support the teachers and the school in order to raise standards of achievement for all pupils (e.g. SEN, EAL, G&T, all underachieving groups), by utilising advanced levels of knowledge and skills.

You will also as a HLTA be required to work collaboratively with all teaching staff and assist teachers to plan challenging teaching and learning objectives and the management/preparation of resources. You will need to work under the guidance of teachers/senior staff/SENCO to plan, deliver and assess agreed support programmes/interventions with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom. This will include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas.

The school is a large high performing school in North London. They had the highest progress in the Borough for 2017/2018. As a proud inclusive school, each teacher and support staff takes responsibility for the growth and development of the pupils it works with. They provide a variety of support packages tailored to each individuals SEN so they can closely monitor and provide intervention where needed.

The role is to start ASAP for the Summer term with the view to continue through to next academic year. This is a full-time role. Hours are 08:15 to 15:45 and the daily rate is dependent on experience but typically £85- £125.00 per day.

The school is located in Haringey with excellent access to public transport links but also has parking.
