District Nurse/Clinical Nurse Specialist

Salary: £37,152 – £42,000

Location: Knottingley, West Yorkshire

Hours: Full time 6 Month FTC

We are currently looking to recruit a District Nurse/ Clinical Nurse Specialist for a six-month fix term contract to be based at our head office in Knottingley. In this role you will be responsible for looking at all the invasive procedures and medications that our support worker teams deal with across all our services in Scotland and England.

You will also be instrumental in developing robust training modules that deal with the safe administration of medication across the organisation, and invasive procedures such as PEG, oxygen therapy/nebulisers, suctioning, BM and insulin, as well as eyes/ears, and nasal medication delivery. Further training will need to be developed to look at transdermal patches, controlled drugs, buccal medication, topical creams, wound management, and compression hosiery.

This role is crucial within the organisation and will require working with the Senior Leadership team, Risk and Compliance, and the training department to put together a detailed plan of actions highlighting the roll out of staff supervision, areas of improvement, standardised work instructions, service management training needs, support worker training requirements and the associated training modules.

Essentials

A Valid NMC Pin Number is essential for this role along with current clinic experience working with invasive procedures, medication and developing and delivering training.

You will have the ability to work outside of core hours as well as occasional travel throughout the UK including overnight stays. A driver with access to their own vehicle would be advantage
