Pertemps Recruitment are extremely proud to be working with a fantastic Education establishment to recruit a Primary Research and Market Intelligence Analyst to work within the companies Strategy, Planning and Insight department.
The role as a Senior Research Analyst will involve working in the Customer Insight Team with other Analysts and stakeholders through all areas of the service: market intelligence on the sector and competitors and primary research projects.
You will play a crucial role within the team, managing the delivery of high-quality insights for stakeholders to improve performance, efficiency, and quality across the education establishment. You will be responsible for managing all stages of the research process; set up; project management; data manipulation and analysis across all customer groups, home and international, applicants and business.

Role Purpose:
To provide specialist advice and support within the Strategic Insight and Data team; ensuring the provision of high-quality primary research and market intelligence to inform decision making within a thematic area or areas

  • Professional Services Generic Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the delivery of a consistent and professional service, providing customer service excellence aligned to the business plans. Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks; consider the wider implications for the business to support operational decision making.

  • Role Specific Responsibilities:

  • To deliver specialist advice/support/insight, based on an in-depth knowledge and understanding of, primary and secondary research. Support ‘stakeholder information and insight’ needs, e.g recommend primary research methodologies requests, based on decision criteria and budget develop market research briefs, manage market research agencies, and manage delivery and costs
  • To work in partnership with key academic and professional services staff to understand their needs and the issues faced and to produce evidence which provides insight into their area of work and an understanding of performance.
  • To provide support for the operational management of the service, including the monitoring and tracking of incoming requests for work.
  • To motivate and mentor staff where required; provide general guidance, coaching and support, developing their skills and knowledge, both within the Strategic Insight and Data service and across the platform.
  • To provide in-depth guidance and support for a diverse, complex range of queries/requests and promote good practice in the use of data.
  • To assist with sensitive and/ or complex communications and the promotion of activities/services in collaboration with other areas as required.
  • To support the development and operation of systems and tools involved in insight and intelligence, proactively ensure data quality and integrity, record keeping within an agreed framework.
  •  To support team and wider service initiatives and lead, where appropriate, specific projects to provide insight around areas of strategic importance
  • To maintain confidentiality and treat sensitive issues with appropriate tact and diplomacy, working in accordance with data protection legislation.

    Person Specification

  • These requirements will also be assessed at the selection event, following shortlisting:
  • Knowledge and experience in data analysis and delivering primary (qualitative and quantitative) and secondary research.
  • Experience of planning and managing market research projects from briefing to the delivery of insights.
  • Experience of developing and carrying out market and product analysis that supports key areas of portfolio development and strategic priorities
  • Experience of working directly with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and the insight and intelligence required.
  • Highly proficient in the use of Excel
  • Knowledge of market research software (e.g. SNAP, Qualtrics)
  • Experience of carrying out a range of complex administration activities.
  • Working effectively in an environment of complex regulations and procedures (e.g. data protection regulations) and/or MRS guidelines.
