Robert Half – Accounts Assistant – St Neots

Robert Half are partnered with a growing organisation based in St Neots. They seek a new Accounts Assistant to join their growing team on a permanent basis. Responsibilities:

  • Processing supplier invoices onto the purchase ledger
  • Ensuring invoices and expenses are accurate and appropriately authorised in a timely fashion
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Daily bank transaction posting and allocations to the receivable and payable ledger
  • GRNI account monitoring and balance sheet reconciliation
  • Purchase ledger query resolution and follow up on expected credit notes, including purchase to pay exceptions (following a successful implementation). A proactive approach is expected to reduce the number of queries that repeat where possible.
  • Supplier account set up within the ERP system. Including information required for purchase to pay (if relevant)
  • Paper invoice scanning for storage/processing and purchase to pay (if relevant)
  • File transfer of employee expenses to the ERP from the expense system
  • Processing petty cash payments and reconciliation of the petty cash ledger
  • Timely and accurate completion of supplier application forms where necessary
  • Payment processing for the relevant ledgers and manual payments
  • Assisting the Accountants with month end closing procedure and audit procedures
  • To provide sickness/holiday cover and assistance in peak periods on the receivable’s ledger, including all duties listed on the accounts assistant AR job description
  • To professionally communicate with all customers, internal and external, in both written and verbal communications
  • To carry out any other finance duties that may be reasonably requested of you.

Salary & Benefits

The role is paying up to £25k with 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays.
